The LLW Forum is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization that provides an opportunity for state and compact officials to share information with each other and to exchange views with officials of Federal agencies and other interested stakeholders.

At the request of the U.S. Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration/Global Threat Reduction Initiative, the LLW Forum formed the Disused Sources Working Group (DSWG).  The working group developed 24 recommendations to be considered by States, Federal agencies and industry representatives in implementing a timely and comprehensive solution.

The LLW Forum also publishes a yearly Contact List with information on members, state compacts, and Federal agencies.
